About

Hello! Welcome to Harmony Creek Homestead. We are a small-scale regenerative farm and licensed nursery located in Miamisburg, Ohio.

Our property was purchased in 2018 by farm owners Jason and Kacee Epstein. When the property next door became available, they purchased it as well bringing the total to about 13 acres of land. Soon there were pigs, chickens, goats and a pony living on site. In 2021, our terraced permaculture guilds were installed and they comprise of a large variety of fruit trees, medicinal and edible berries, a market garden bed and various other flowers and herbs. Since then, we’ve been learning and growing every year and are looking forward to 2025 being our best season yet!

Currently we are installing a geothermal greenhouse which will extend our growing season. We rotationally graze our animals to benefit the soil and their health. Our flock of chickens produce beautiful eggs which our community (and us) very much enjoy!

In the coming season we look forward to our partnerships with local restaurants, welcoming the community on site for a plant sale and other events, and selling our produce at local farmers markets.

Growing Organically

We nurture the earth with real, simple inputs - not chemicals. We produce our own soil amendments and compost on site from natural sources. We control pest and disease with an IPM (Integrated Pest Management) approach.

Permaculture Practices

Studying and using permaculture practices are a huge aspect of our operation. We aim to have a farm that is holistic, working with the patterns of Nature and not against them. This allows for an integrated approach and abundance of yield which benefits all beings living on our land.

Caring for the Soil

Healthy soil means nutrient dense produce. By using our own compost, disturbing the soil as little as possible and following regenerative practices the soil health flourishes and feeds the ecosystem above and below ground.
